A series of seminars on "New Technology Ventures".

The Office of Knowledge Transfer, in collaboration with TIME Master’s in Innovation and Entrepreneurship, is organizing a series of seminars on “New Technology Ventures”.

Those seminars are addressed to faculty members, EDIP and PK researchers who are interested in acquiring business skills.

The speaker is Prof. Peter Gianiodis, Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship, Palumbo Donahue School of Business & Entrepreneurship, Duquesne University, Inaugural holder of the Merle E. Gilliand, Professor in Entrepreneurial Finance.

The seminars will take place online from 9 to 13 May from 17:30 – 20:45 through the Zoom platform.

Description:
The course aims at providing students with a solid understanding of the process of developing new technology ventures (especially in sectors such as information technology, energy, biotechnology, communications) focusing on emerging technologies opportunities, market analysis, competition, managing innovative teams, regulatory issues , and entrepreneurial finance. Company valuation methods will enable students to adopt an investor’s perspective for assessing and valuing the venture, and thus communicate effectively the venture’s value.
